We are calling all haute couture enthusiasts! Explore the streets of Paris with a keen eye and admire the stunning haute couture street fashion. The runway presentations showcasing intricate three-dimensional lapels, rich textures, and a classic colour scheme have inspired a wave of elegant styles reminiscent of Haute Couture F/W 2024-2025.

Chanel

Chanel attendees epitomise timeless elegance, exuding sophistication in every way. Every detail was meticulously considered, from coordinating pearls adorning the hair to combining headbands and oversized sunglasses. The monochromatic ensembles reflect Chanel's enduring class, unaffected by fads.

The runways' colour scheme is mainly centred around classic white and black, complemented by shades of pink. Soft pastel colours and intricate embellishments on or off the runway give a stylish vibe. It appears that the bow trend is still going strong.

A summer twist on Chanel’s styling is projected through this boho ensemble. Contrasting a monochromatic denim co-ord featuring Chanel iconography with a sheer, lacy, layered skirt with long, charm pendant necklaces gives a contemporary variance to the classic preppy Chanel we know and love.

Elie Saab

Elie Saab abandoned his typical golden goddess styles and embraced dark fantasy with a collection of lavish plum, burgundy, and black dresses. Yet the sun was still shining gold on the streets of Paris. Typical golden Saab looks incorporated gold with a subtlety that exuded tasteful grace.

Elie Saab experiments with texture, silhouettes, and imagery by subtly and creatively incorporating sequins, furs, and feathers, paying close attention to detail. While hinting at Gothic influences, his collection refers to his work from the 1990s, aiming to celebrate the abundant aspect of femininity. Flowing long skirts and delicate, elegant details encapsulate the nuances of femininity that Saab strives to foster.

Here is another compelling reason to add a staple yellow dress to your summer wardrobe! This crocheted, sunny yellow maxi dress perfectly captures the essence of European summer elegance. Paired with silver jewellery and accentuated with gold gems on the cheekbones, it alludes to the luxury of the divine feminine.

Viktor&Rolf

The runways proved that the possibility of necklines is unlimited. From three-dimensional lapels to upside-down dresses and triangular blouses, this collection can only be described as haute couture absurdity!

Geometric necklines were a highlight, influencing silhouettes on and off the runway. Combining a bandeau lacy neckline and a poofy dress silhouette showcased the collection's creativity. While the runway featured fall tones with dark patterns and purples, the streets remained in a summer mood. The presence of yellow accents throughout confirmed yellow as the season's colour.

Playing with silhouettes breaks down the boundaries of masculinity and femininity for Haute Couture. This cinched take on a tuxedo plays with collaring and traditional feminine styles, yet the padded shoulders give this an air of grace.

The street styles of this year's Fall/Winter Haute Couture season embodied the elegance and sophistication associated with these fashion brands. There was a continuous exploration of necklines, colours, textures, and patterns, all while preserving the enduring appeal of haute couture that never ceases to impress. As we anticipate the upcoming Autumn season, it's a moment to transition from vibrant hues to a darker colour palette suitable for the approaching colder months.
